The Lubrolene series of water-free die-release lubricants with electrostatic spray technology are specifically developed to achieve optimum die coverage and casting release for high pressure die cast engine, powertrain and structural automotive parts. The unique patented die lubricant technology is able to carry an electrostatic charge, which leads to the most efficient die cast lubricant application process currently available.
HOW IT WORKS
Greatly outperforming water-based and micro-spray die lubricants, Lubrolene with electrostatic spray technology is the ultimate solution for die casting release.
The benefits of using electrostatic spray technology
Developed by AOKI SCIENCE INSTITUTE, Lubrolene® WFR EC with electrostatic spray technology negatively charges die lubricant particles when sprayed through special application equipment, which are attracted to a grounded die resulting in a uniform coverage across the whole die surface via a wrap around effect. The electrostatically charged die lubricant particles can be applied efficiently with the minimum number of spray nozzles to various shape of dies, even behind slides where it is difficult to spray. This reduces cycle time and the size and weight of the spray equipment required for larger or more complex dies.
The electrostatic system delivers unrivalled lubricant coverage and thickness for ultimate die-release performance.
Lubrolene WFR-EC series can rapidly form a thick lubrication film by eliminating the influence of Leidenfrost phenomenon compared with water-based lubricant even over 300°C (572°F) die temperature. Lubrolene WFR-EC has no cooling effect on die surface temperature, thereby preventing thermal stress cracks (heat checking) and the longer die life achieved means reduced production costs.
Only a very small amount of lubricant is applied, so lubricant waste is reduced. Air blow time can also be reduced or eliminated, so it contributes greatly to the improvement of cycle time and improving energy efficiency.
Electrostatic spray application makes for a safer working environment and significantly improves repeatability and process control.
Lubrolene WFR EC series of water-free electrostatic die-release products achieve optimum coverage for complex die cast parts. WFR agents eliminate thermal stress, allow faster cycle times and significantly extend service life.
