Minimum Quantity (MQL) Water-Free Die Release Lubricants

DIE SLICK® AH Series

DIE SLICK® AH series are a range of water free high pressure die casting lubricants designed to be used with no dilution. Products are available with and without active siloxane release agent.

Siloxane containing products are formulated with unique and innovative Smart Polymer (SP) technology, a thermodynamically reactive polymer system that forms a tough resilient lubrication film on hot areas of the die, while lightly coating cooler, less demanding areas. This results in reduced solder, producing bright and clean castings and eliminates the need for over-spraying in hot die areas.

The AH series of lubricants bring significant advantages over all water-based lubricants, diluted or minimum quantity products. Leidenfrost effect is eliminated leading to vastly improved die life through elimination of thermal stresses, improved lubricant film adhesion and resultant lubrication film formation, especially at hot spots. Other benefits include:

  • Very low spray quantities, as low as 5ml per shot

Formulations are wax free to ensure little of no nozzle clogging and reducing die build up and maintenance.
